Seoul National University – Department of energy resources engineering
Energy resource engineering deals with the conventional fossil energy such as oil, gas and mineral resources as well as new renewable energy for their exploration, development, storage, recycling, processing, energy policy and environmental impact. The primary objectives of our faculty and staff are to conduct research to develop the world’s leading energy resource technologies and to educate tomorrow’s global leaders who will play significant roles in supplying energy resources to the nation amidst a dynamic international market.
The applications of Energy resource engineering are largely divided into four areas: The development of Conventional energy resources, Renewable energy, Geo-environmental Engineering for Sustainable Society, and Geo-engineering for Energy and Civil infrastructure.
