The DSME 7.0MW Offshore Wind Turbine is a horizontal wind turbine with three blades, variable speed, variable pitch control and active yaw system. The rotor, diameter of 160m, connects to a two stage gearbox which drives Permanent Magnet Generator(PMG). The PMG is closely matched to a full rated inverter in order to feed in high quality energy into the grid.
