Samsung SDI(CEO Sangjin Park, www.samsungsdi.co.kr) introduces ‘EV Charging Station Energy Storage system’ at the 9th International Green Energy Expo Korea 2012 held at Daegu EXCO from March 28th ~ 30th, 2012.
EV Charging Station Energy Storage system uses the power generated from the solar-cell panels and stores the excessive energy to ESS during the daytime while utilizing the power stored in ESS during the night and peak time.
This system reduces the utility(electric) cost through the decrease in electric power consumption, lowers the maximum power load during peak times, and prevents emergency situation with the back-up power in case of power blackout.
Samsung SDI has launched the Lithium-Ion secondary cell business in 2000, and rapidly expands its business into areas of electric vehicle, energy storage and solar-cell with the revenue of 52billion dollars last year.
Meanwhile, International Green Energy Expo, Asia top 3 and world top 10 New Renewable Energy special exhibition, takes place the biggest ever with 400 companies from 23 countries with 1,200 booths at EXCO, Korea. In particular, domestic major energy related companies participate and experts are visited from 3 continents for conference. All of these is enhancing IGEEC’s position on the world stage.
