President of Korea International Cooperation Agency(Koica)
Park Dae-won is the president of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) since 2008. Previously, Park also served as a member of the Presidential Council on Nation Branding. And, he served as an ambassador extraordinary an dplenipotentiary to the people’s Democratic Republic of Algeria in 2002. He was an ambassador as an advisor for International relations to Seoul Metropolitan Government in 2005
He began his career in 1974 at the foreign ministry after graduating from the department of political science and diplomacy at Yonsei University. He studied at the International Institute of Public Administration in Paris. Also, he obtained honorary Ph.D at University of Tiaret, National University of Engineering of Peru, and Hankyong National University in Korea.
