Korea Power Exchange (KPX, Chairman: Nam Ho-ki) distributed on June 7 power-saving paper fans to electric power consumers on the occasion of prime minister’s visit to the organization.
The power-saving paper fan helps power consumers easily identify dates and times when they need to save electric power by indicating on its front side levels of reserve power by dates and power consumption volume by time zones in July and August when power demands are expected to reach peak.
The power-saving paper fan is expected to be useful not only for general power consumers but also to companies participating in demand management programs of Korea Electric Power Corporation and KPX’s demand resources market as well as load leveling companies.
The rear side of the paper fan publicizes ways of saving electric power at home by printing ‘common sense for saving power that can help one earn money.’
Predictive figures on power supply and demand printed in the power-saving paper fan can be provided only by KPX and they are disclosed to the public for the first time. The disclosure of the data represents how the power supply situation is pressing.
In case the paper fan is demonstrated to be effective in publicity or saving power, KPX plans to publish and distribute ‘power-saving calendar’ using its predictive data on power supply and demand.
Those power consumers and company employees who are interested in the power-saving paper fan are advised to contact KPX supply and demand planning team (02-3456-6823).
