He will actively publicize the forthcoming ‘Daegu World Energy Congress 2013’.
Chairman Kim Yeong-hun of Daesung Group will attend the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum, called the Davos Forum, set to be held on January 23~27 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland.
Since he first attended the Davos Forum meeting in 2004 as a panelist whilst acting as vice chairman of the World Energy Council (WEC), Chairman Kim Yeong-hun has been attending the meeting every year for the last 10 years.
Having been elected as co-chairman of the WEC in November 2012, Chairman Kim Yeong-hun will meet many global leaders in the energy area and take part in sessions at the Davos Forum meeting this year to actively publicize the 22nd World Energy Congress scheduled to be held in Daegu in October this year.
And, Chairman Kim Yeong-hun will also attend ‘FEW security’ sessions, namely meetings related to food, energy and water, which are classified as the most insufficient resources for mankind by the United Nations.
According to the ‘2013 Report on Global Risks’ recently published by the Davos Forum, shortage in water is cited as one of 5 risks that may occur within 10 years and affect the world most severely among 50 major global risks.
Meanwhile, since 2007, Chairman Kim Yeong-hun has been sharing with Internet users in Korea major topics and issues discussed at the Davos Forum every year through his blog.
