It is conducting inspections on gas facilities at 453 gas supply facilities and excavation work sites.
Daesung Energy (President: Kang Seok-gi) began special safety inspections on gas facilities at 453 gas supply facilities and excavation work sites jointly with the Daegu City government and Daegu Gyeongbuk Regional Headquarters of Korea Gas Safety Corporation (KGS). These organizations will conduct safety inspection activities for two months through July 31 in preparation for the rainy season in summer.
These gas safety inspection activities are designed to prevent damages on city gas supply facilities by identifying risk factors in advance that may be caused by heavy rain. Safety inspection activities are being conducted mainly on land subsidence at supply facilities, drains and drainage holes, flood-preventive measures for underground pressure regulators and operation status of remote locking gas valves.
Particularly, the company will check measures of protecting gas pipes at 30 excavation work and pipe exposure sites, while operating the situation room around the clock. In conjunction with related organizations, it will also examine operation of urgent action system and emergency contact networks.
