The company won the ‘Which? Award 2013’ in audio-visual segment.
LG Electronics’ products were selected as the best brand by a major consumers group in the United Kingdom.
‘Which?’, the largest consumers group in the U.K., selected LG Electronics’ products as the best brand in audio-visual segment, and held on June 19 the ‘Which? Award 2013’ presentation ceremony at King Place in London.
‘Which?’ is a non-profit organization established in 1957 to protect rights of consumers in the United Kingdom.
For the award, specialists select best brands in a dozen segments, including communications, home appliances and distribution, based on strict evaluation of products, ruling out any commercial viability.
And ‘Which?’ selects award winning brands in each segment by comprehensively assessing various aspects of products, including results of product evaluation made by specialists, frequencies of being selected as ‘best buy (purchase recommendation)’, and results of survey on consumers’ preference.
During the past year, LG Electronics produced many ‘best buy’ audio-visual products, such as TVs, sound bars, and Blu-ray players.
Senior Engineer David Holes at ‘Which?’ said, “LG Electronics has earned high reliability by sweeping ‘best buys’ in all audio-visual appliances. The company well deserves winner of the best brand in audio-visual segment.”
President Na Yeong-bae of LG Electronics UK said, “It is the most honorable thing to be recognized as the best brand by consumers than anyone else. The company will lead the audio-visual product market in the United Kingdom by providing top quality products.”
