DongGuk University – Division of Energy Environment System hot
DongGuk University – College of Energy and Environment College of Energy and Environment of DongGuk University mainly focuses on energy independence, lower consumption of energy, and alternative energy development from petroleum in research area. Energy which is indispensable for industry and society in most cases needs to undergo some sort of conversion according to the intended purposes. Also, from the point of view of preservation of the global environment, innovative technology is called for. Our Division provides undergraduates with a variety of programs to devote themselves to their studies. And we will commit in-service education, technical training, and top program education for international sensibility. We are exploring researches and projects for developing of nuclear power, hydrogen energy, solar energy, a fuel cell, bio, wind power, and tidal power. For further details, please e-mail to the Division office. The Division of Energy Environment System deals with energy conversion that can generate electricity with far higher efficiency than that of thermal power generation, and a lithium battery intended for storage of electric energy, which can be applied to the effective utilization of dumped power and to electric vehicles. Lower-level course programs (freshman, sophomore) explore understanding energy & environment area and their system mechanism, and upper level course programs (junior, senior) will experience design, production, and application of energy-related parts or systems. For more information, please visit course programs. Email: leejj1945@dongguk.ac.kr Tel: +82-54-770-5114 Homepage: DongGuk University more

Sungkyunkwan University – Department of Energy Science hot
Sungkyunkwan University – Department of Energy Science The History of Sungkyunkwan University, which is celebrating its 613th anniversary this year, represents the origins of Korea’s higher education. Reflecting on the history of world universities, the most prestigious tend to have emerged from a long history. They also were initially at the forefront of moral and civic education. The ultimate goal of the Department is to develop fundamental and applied sciences and technologies for energy generation, storage, conversion/efficiency and distribution, and to strengthen the energy research competency of the University and the country. To achieve this goal, the Department has set the sub-goals for the four individual fields in three phases. As we look ahead to the next 10 years, SKKU is seeking to advance our notion of the universities new role that of spreading the values of self-autonomy, diversity, communication and trust as core components of our campus life. SKKU have a dream that someday that our direction will eventually become the standard by which all great universities are measured. This is the sort of thinking that is part of our VISION 2020.
