Energy.korea.com (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) is making every effort to protect Member’s (subject to the definition in the Terms of Service) legal rights by posting Privacy Policy pursuant to Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Etc. The Company may amend this Privacy Policy by posting the amended Privacy Policy to the Company web site, and Members acknowledge and agree that their continued use of the services after any such change represents their agreement to the amended Privacy Policy. A. Service Delivery and Clearing Transactions

Real-name validation for service members, personal identification, age confirmation, monitor improper usage of services, confirmation of approval by a legal representative of a minor who is less 14 years old, delivery of a notification.
C. Marketing Management
Delivery of targeted advertisement, delivery of characteristic-based services and advertisement, measure service usage for statistical analysis.23

- Duration of storage: three (3) years
D. Real-name Identification Records
- Legal basis for storage: Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, Etc.
- Duration of storage: six (6) months
E. Visiting Records
- Legal basis for storage: Protection of Communications Secrets Act
- Duration of storage: three (3) months
4. Procedure and Methods of Deletion
The Company deletes personal information immediately, in principle, after the purpose of its use has been achieved. The deletion procedure and methods are as follows:
A. Deletion Procedure
- Information that Member insert when subscribing to a service is stored for a legally permitted period of time for specific purposes before being deleted.
- The Company processes personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with the legal requirements.
B. Deletion Method
- Personal information printed on paper is shredded or incinerated.
- Personal information stored in electronic files is deleted using technical methods that prevent its restoration.
5. 3rd Parity Releases
A. Conformance to Laws
The Company does not share personal information about Members with others without permission except under the following circumstances:
1. If there is a request from the authorities for the purpose of the legal process;
2. If there is a request from Korea Communications Standards Commission;
3. If there is a request based on related laws and regulations.

7. Rights of Members and Legal Representatives and Methods of Exercising Those Rights
- Members and legal representatives can view and modify at any time their registered personal information or the personal information of children under 14 whom they represent. They can also request that they be unsubscribed.
- To view or modify personal information, Members should use “User Profile” page.
- Members can also request Operator in charge of personal information management to modify Members’ personal data or sever membership in writing, over the phone, or via e-mail.
- When Members request that errors in their personal information be corrected, they cannot use or access their information until correction is completed. If a Member’s personal information containing an error has already been provided to a third party, the corrected information will be provided to the third party immediately.
- The Company processes personal information that has been deleted at Member’s request or at the request of a legal representative according to the terms and conditions described in “3. Storage and Usage Duration” to prevent its viewing or use for other purposes.
8. Installation, Management and Rejection of Automated Collection
The Company uses cookies – a piece of data containing information about the Member – to improve the quality of the service. Cookies are small information files that the Company Web site server (HTTP) sends to Members’ browsers. Cookies are sometimes stored in the Member’s hard drive.
A. Purpose of Cookies
The Company utilizes cookies to better understand the frequency of visits, popular search words, security access status, Members’ preferences and areas of interest and participation.
B. Installation and Management and Blockage of Cookies
- Members have the right to install or block cookies. They can either permit all cookies by using a certain option in their Web browser, or confirm cookie installation every time, or block the installation of any cookies whatsoever.
- To block cookies, Members can choose the required option in appropriate Web browser.
- Members who block cookie installation may encounter problems in receiving the Company’s service.
